Why Greenlight Maine?

Greenlight Maine is the best platform for entrepreneurs from around the Maine business community to expose, promote and expand their businesses. The television and social media audience is like no other offered in the state. There have been contestants who don’t win the $100,000 cash prize, but still gain so much financially based on the exposure alone.

The contestants pitch their businesses in front of an encouraging panel of business leaders who serve as judges. The judges are committed to helping the entrepreneurs develop and expand with the shared goal of growing Maine’s economy. Each contestant has an opportunity to work with a mentor.

Greenlight Maine is a proven networking opportunity for all of the business leaders involved with the show as either mentors or judges. Some run similar companies and take the opportunity to forge relationships to overcome any market challenges they may face, which ultimately makes their own companies stronger.

Finally, the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, Maine Technology Institute, and Bangor Savings Bank play a vital role rewarding the cash prize and often work diligently to follow up and work with these small businesses that will serve as the backbone of Maine’s economy.
